We decide to explore the remaining room by the door before leaving the temple to rest for the night
We pull 2 bodies of villagers along with us
Infaris tries to charm the snakes in the northeastern room but fails
Jimco finds a gargoyle pendant identical to the one Ungvar found
We bury the bodies and take a long rest before heading back inside to finish exploring the keep
Find a skeleton wearing women's clothing. She seems to have been fleeing and there are claw marks all over her. She hold an empty waterskin and a sword. There is a mace beneath her body
The large marble doors open outward with large golden handles
Inside the room it is a bit dusty but no rubble like elsewhere in the castle. There is an ornate golden fountain with marble steps that lead down into a pool. A hideous creature carved from dark marble sits atop the fountain. The pool is nearly empty
Ungvar heads down a different hallway and runs into a few spiders. He quickly starts running yelling towards us. Infaris goes to help and chides Ungvar for splitting the party. Jimco joins the fun as well
after defeating the spiders, Ungvar and Jimco head inside the gargoyle room. Infaris stays outside b/c she is not wearing one of the gargoyle amulets like they both found earlier
Ungvar enters and walks around the pool looking for traps. Infaris walks up to the pool and tosses a coin in to make a wish. Jimco approaches the pool and walks into the fountain
The gargoyle comes alive and leaps towards Infaris who uses her amulet to teleport away. The amulet's magic gets out of control and causes her to double in size
Infaris kneels down in front of the gargoyle so that Ungvar can "table" it and destroys it in the process
Jimco pulls out an alchemy kit and spends some time identifying the pool water. The water seems to be extremely magical in some way, the full nature of the enchantment has not been identified yet. Jimco casts identify on it and it seems to be a fountain of youth
Infaris turns around and sees a ghost who introduces himself as Lord Brocktree. He describes the curse the accompanies the fountain of youth. Apparently its highly addictive and looses its power when attempted to be transported. Its pretty similar to a Lazarus Pit (just youth, no healing or revival) or a sarcophagus from Stargate
